He is involved in the community as a co-facilitator of support groups for men dealing with relationship breakups at Accord Mauricie and on the working committee of Maison Tshimishtin (a shelter for people at risk of suicide in Indigenous communities). She holds the Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Relational Distress and Intimate Partner Violence. Dr. Brassard has recognized research expertise in the areas of romantic attachment, relational and sexual functioning, and intimate partner violence. Her research focuses in particular on measuring and examining the determinants of marital and sexual difficulties among adults from diverse populations (young adults, individuals in therapy, couples undergoing fertility treatment, and new parents). He has more than 40 years of experience in intervention and research related to men\u2019s health and well-being.
